Refunds

All refunds are subject to a processing fee of 1-4% of the processed purchase amount in addition to any fees outlined on a per product basis as indicated on this page. Please ensure that you are buying the correct product and that you are aware of the shipping, warranty, refund and return policies and fees as indicated on this page and the product information pages.

Engines / Transmissions Shipping

We use professional frieght partners to ship motors and transmissions around the country, insured and properly packaged. We ship most aftermarket parts via UPS & FedEx. Items are shipped within 48 hours of ordering or when the credit transaction authorization clears. In cases where an item is out of stock, on back order, or is a special order, we will notify you via email with an approximate ETA.

Engines / Trasmissions Returns

Customers are responsible for all shipping charges for all returns. For defective items, no replacements will be sent until we've promptly verified and inspected the returned item(s).

Notify JDM Engine Imports of returns before sending them, items that are not expected will likely be turned away. Call us and we will provide a returned item number to use. Returns must be properly packaged and contain pertinent identifying information, including the original invoice and the returned item number.

Engines / Transmissions Warranty

JDM used performance engines come with a 30 day block and head warranty, sensors, gaskets, and any electrical parts are not under warranty and sold as is. All VTEC, TURBO (ROTORY ENGINES do not have Warranties AT ALL)charged, SUPER charged, VVTI and performance based engines are under this category for a 30 day warranty. Mazda Rotory Engines DO NOT come with any warranty due to their make. All engines have to be installed by an ASE certified mechanic and his/her certificate has to be current (no exceptions).

JDM used non performance engines come with a 90 day block and head warranty, sensors, gaskets, and any electrical parts are not under warranty and sold as is

Engines / Transmissions Warranty details and Obligations

The Customer must inspect or replace gaskets, seals and use new fluids and filters prior to installing. It is highly recommended to inspect or replace the waterpump, timing belt, & tensioners prior to installing and set the timing correctly. Leaking water pump, engine failure due to broken tensioners, timing belt, overheating due to bad water pump are not covered by our warranty.

Please check with your local authorities about legalities and air regulations prior to purchase as JDM Engine Imports is not responsible for parts or modifications not in compliance with local, state or federal regulations. Some of our inventory is tailored for offroad use only in some states.

Please insure you are ordering the correct transmission, engine, or aftermarket parts. We're not responsible for return orders or incorrect orders due to customer negligence.

If under any circumstances an item is being returned to us or an order is cancelled there is a 30% restocking fee and all shipping & handling charges are strictly the responsibility of the customer. If an item is being returned and you do not aquire a return number, the item will be refused by the receiving desk.

JDM Engine Imports is not responsible for labor or shipping expenses for any returned items, including items under warranty. All warranty claims will be denied and forteited if any abuse or vulgar language is used towards any of our staff or business partners, JDM Engine, Transmission & JDM Aftermarket Parts Imports will not tolerate telephone, email, or in-person raging.

Please inspect the delivered item in the presence of the delivery people and insure he/she makes note of any damage related to shipping the item(s) on the bill of lading before he/she leaves. This will help insure your insurance claim with the freight carrier will be valid and go through more easily. Failure to do so may result in a denied claimed against the shipping company. JDM Engine Imports purchases insurance on all engines and transmissions shipped, however if any damage happens during transit, we are not responsible for any losses incurred.

Aftermarket & OEM Parts & Accessories

All orders placed with JDM Engine Imports (phone, fax, mail, internet/web & e-mail) constitute the acknowledgement and acceptance of all conditions listed on JDM Engine Importss Price List and all conditions listed below. All parts shall remain the property of JDM Engine Imports until paid for in full. All orders shipped to a California address must pay state, county & city sales tax as required by the California State Board of Equalization. In the event that an order placed on the web does not calculate sales tax and the order is being shipped to a California address, JDM Engine Imports will calculate the sales tax when the order is processed and call or e-mail the customer with the new amount. 

All prices, materials, design, color, contents included with a product, and product specifications are subject to change without notice. Some product images may be shown with optional items that are sold separately. Depending on the product(s) ordered and the destination of the order, certain shipping services may not be available. 

All Credit Card Orders can only be shipped to a verified Billing Address. Credit Card and Paypal orders will not be shipped until all information are verified and matched. All other orders (check, money order, & gift certificate) will not be shipped until payment has been received in full. All unpaid orders will be cancelled after 30 calendar days. 


All engine modification components, except those that are exempt, have been designed and are intended for off-highway application. These components are legal in California for racing vehicles only, which may never be used on public roads and highways. Federal and many state laws prohibit the removal, modification, or rendering inoperable of any device or element of design affecting vehicle emission or safety in a vehicle used on public highways. Violation of such laws may subject the owner or user to a fine or penalty. Installation of this part may void the vehicle's manufacturer warranty coverage, if any, on your vehicle. Vehicles modified by the use of performance parts may no longer be lawfully used on public highways. Further, all engine parts, headlight units, light bulbs and electrical components are sold AS IS without any warranty and may not be returned. User assumes all cost and risks associated with these and other import items. 


Return for exchange or refund will be allowed only within 9 calendar days from the date of receipt of merchandise with no exception. All authorized return merchandise must be unused and in its original saleable packaging. No return or exchange on merchandise that shows signs of having been installed, modified, mounted, scratched or defaced will be allowed. RETURN AUTHORIZATION NUMBER must be obtained before any returns can be made. We will not accept any returns without this number. Please write the R.A. Number clearly on the outside of the returning package and tag the item(s) inside with your company name and the R.A Number. All returns must be received by JDM Engine Imports within 10 calendar days after the R.A. Number has been issued. The Return Authorization number does not imply a replacement or refund, but only that we will inspect the merchandise based on your claim. Returns must be sent freight prepaid and insured by you. Original shipping and handling charges are not refundable. A photo copy of your invoice showing the invoice number must accompany your return along with a written explanation and a contact phone number where we may be able to reach you. It is the responsibility of the customer/installer to verify the correct size and application of the parts before installation. A 20% restocking fee will be assessed on all authorized returns. 
No cancellations, refunds, or exchanges on special order items or custom order items will be allowed. 
It is also the customer's responsibility to repack the item(s) that are being returned and make sure that it is properly and securely packed with sufficient packaging material to prevent the item from being damaged. We cannot give credit or refund on a returned package that got damaged due to insufficient packing. All hardware & accessories included in the original package needs to be returned or the customer will be charged. All returned items needs to be insured (in case of lost or damaged) and we recommend the customer to get a tracking number to track the shipment. 


Shortage/Damaged Shipment/Discrepancies 

All merchandises are packed carefully and correctly utilizing a triple check method before it leaves our facility. Damaged shipments should be checked in the presence of the carrier. Please keep all shipping cartons and packing material for carrier inspection. JDM Engine Imports will not initiate any claims with the carrier. 
Claims for shortage of items or discrepancies must be made within 48 hours after receipt of merchandise. Claims of damaged shipments must be made by the customer with the carrier. 


All special orders (personalized/specially fitted) items must be paid in full at the time of order. All special orders and custom orders will be processed in the most timely and efficient manner possible. However, JDM Engine Imports will not be held responsible for delays above and beyond its control. No cancellations, refunds, or exchanges on special order items or custom order items. 


Any refused shipments sent back to JDM Engine Imports does not constitute the right to a refund or credit. It is the customer's responsibility to make all arrangements with JDM Engine Imports for refused shipments. Customer will be charged freight expenses associated with the refused shipment as well as a 20% restocking fee on all shipped products. 


WARRANTY: No warranty whatsoever will be given if the defect was caused by customers' abuse, negligence, mishandling, or improper installation. All merchandise sold by JDM Engine Importss is only subject to manufacturer's warranty, if any. Warranty items are subject to submission to the manufacturers for inspection and approval for repair or replacement of merchandise. Customer, however, will be responsible for all shipping and handling fees. No labor or inconvenience may be included in any warranty claims. There is no warranty on lights, light bulbs, decals, electrical parts, and engine parts. Check your state and local laws regarding the use on any parts. 


Legal Venue: In the event that legal proceedings are required to resolve disputes or indifferences, all claims and filings must be made with the Citrus Municipal Court located in West Covina, California.
