JDM Engine Imports was founded in San Jose California in 2001 by Jason Miller who created a company that delivered the best of the (JDM) Japanese Domestic Market engines, transmissions and half cut cars to the United States. This made it possible to buy complete engines and transmissions that had only 20k-50k miles on them for a fraction of the price of what a brand new engine with no accessories (water pump, power steering pump, AC condenser, engine wiring harness, ECU, and Accessories) is. Our engines coming from Japan also tend to have more horse power then the engines in your current car. If you know of anyone that has a JDM Engine in their car between now and 2001 the chances are it's one of ours is really good! As JDM Engine Imports grew older became bigger and better (Thanks to our Customers!) from 2001 to 2010. We decided to make one more change... this time it was to let everyone know JDM is going bigger, better, faster and now open our doors to selling engines and parts to the whole world.

In Sept 20th 2010 JDM Engine Imports was sold to Devon Auerswald and William Lavold. We moved the company to Colorado Springs and began revamping the website and inventory. The company was perfect the way it was but needed to expand the product line. JDM Engine Imports decided that selling Aftermarket car parts, wheels, and accessories would completely change us from being Just an JDM Engine company to a company that sells performance parts and engine rebuild kits. JDM Engine Imports is now the only company that we know of where you can purchase the engine of your dreams but also buy all the parts to make it perform better all at one place.
